i don't know much about cars... how do i find out what year my mustang is from?

 

look it up on google. it is usually easy to tell the body styles change pretty drastically through each stage.

 

you can actually look it up on here they have a timeline and u can compare it to each picture on the timeline or just post a pic on here and im sure someone can tell u

 

Should say the year on your registration i believe, well that's assuming you own the car.

Now if you wish to know what generation mustang it is, you could look that up on wikipedia.

 

inside the drivers side front door is the sticker that has the month and year it was built. my 5.0 is built 4/93 and my mach 1 is 1/03. sometimes it gets peeled though or faded.

 

Search the VIN on carfax. That will give you the year,make and model for free!

Is your friend asking about changing the color too? In another thread a question is asked, "Just bought a new Mustang, how do I change the color." To me, that's trolling, because if you buy a new Mustang you should purchase it in the color you want.
