Default Non CARB heads?

I'm just wondering what your guys experience is with non CARB , emission legal, heads are. Have any of you guys that got to get emission test have non emission heads? And if so do you guys pass. Just wondering cuz I'm going to have to start passing the sniffer test. I think they do a visual check on smog stuff but do they really no if you heads are emission legal? Can't you just give them a CARB number off another head. I'm in Hamilton County TN, anybody else worried about passing the sniffer? Thanks

i hope i never have to pass the sniffer cause i have no pollution control or catalytic converters or any of that sh*t. I am next door to you in VA, is that a new thing in Tennesee- i thought they were lenient in TN with no height laws for trucks and no inspection sticker- correct me if im wrong

Yeah it starts in April. Memphis Knoxville Chattanooga, the bigger cities, failed some epa test. So parts of TN have emission test parts don't. TN does have height laws I've just never seen them inforced. But accoding to the law its like 44in from ground to middle of headlight, if I remeber correctly.

height laws here are 24 inches from the ground to the bottom of the bumper- anything higher than that is illegal. Thats ridiculous. I guess there is an exception to the rule if the vehicle is taller than that in stock form.

Most non CARB heads will not have the connections at the back for the air tube that runs between them and the smog pump which is pretty obvious to see in a visual inspection, so I don't think you would be able to pass such an inspection if that visual look see is part of the test.

Yeah thats what I was wondering. I knew the air tube didn't work on non emission heads I just wasn't sure if the bolt holes for it was there or not. Thanks for the info though guys
