Default Clunk coming from the rear??

i keep hearing a clunk every time im driving. whether the car is in gear or not. it sounds like its coming from my leaft rear end and seems to happen every time the wheel/ axel makes a complete rotation and is the loudest when im going slow, in reverse and sometimes when i take right turns at the right speed (slower). could if have somthing to do with my rear suspension, axel, brake? digagnosis anyone?

what do you mean it does it when the car is not in gear..are you moviung oe sittin still? check the u joints ..than maybe put the on jack stands with the rear in the air and let the tires spin...first by hand than if you dont hear or find it start it up.but be safe about it..look for bad parts..when was the last time you checked the rear end lube....than pull the rear cover off while its in the air and do a inspection of the gears and parts...sound slike its the u joints or the ring gear

when saying "not in gear" i mean neutral, how much is a UV joint, and if i was to have a shop replace the UV joint, how much would it cost? my suspension does feel a little sloppy in the rear going over bumps on turns. for what im describing the shop manual says loose rear suspension components, loose drive shaft bolts, or UV joint. if it is loose or worn suspension could it be my bushings?

could be worn bushings or maybe a bad axle bearing also. you need to get it up on some good jackstands and let it run in gear at idle and look around under there to see if you can pin down the source of the noise. if the noise occurs once per revolution of the left wheel, my best guess is the axle bearing is bad.
