My 95 Stang..
Yes definaetly. To be 100% honest I didn't know that much about cam shafts untill I talked to my Uncle. All I knew was that better ones got more air and gas in.
Then when I bought my Stang (after yelling at me for not getting Longtube headers) my Uncle told me to get a new camshaft. I asked him which one and he said he'd take care of it. I left it with him for a weekend and picked it up on a Monday morning.
After standing there with my mouth agape for a minute after listening to the idle, I nailed it out of the parking lot and was, first of all, mesmerized by the scary, scary sound it adds. But the pick up difference is very noticeable and combined with the basically unrestriced exhaust, and 4:10 gears makes for scary acceleration and overall speed and quickness.

Sounds like it's worth it. Did your uncle buy you the cams and put them in for you? Is he freakin rich??

But, it depends on your taste of noise, personally I like the raw gurgle unrestricted sound..it just spells power to me, along with "Do You Really Wanna F*ck With Me?" to all those ricers..but yeah don't worry about the noise it is definaetly a power and speed upgrade..a lot of bang for your buck
btw, about your exhaust, ive never heard of Pacemaster, but, theyre probably something like Pacesetter, and they target more for the import crowd, but, if it works it works, and as for the headers and catback: BBK is good and so is SLP, so, exhaust sounds fine to me. but, exhaust is more of sound preference since diff companies sound different

They have far superior grinds for cams these days then the old 3\4 inch cam. That is old school!!!

Yeah, sorry that was a typo..it's pacesetter..yeah my friend told me about them (he's got rice) and when I went to the website they had off road h pipes for 95 GTs so I got it..I am very pleased with it..talk about unrestricted flow..
You are very right that exhaust is a sound preference and I wanted the mean gurgle sound and with my set up, that is exactly what I have..just wondering what you guys have as catbacks, and if not SLP, why not? sound preference? too loud? jw
I'm still stuck on trashing the MAF sensor. I am pretty sure the car wouldn't run without it. It's the only way the computer knows how much gas to give the engine. Do you mean you replaced the stock intake with an upgraded unit. Somehow the MAF sensor has to be in there somewhere.
agree with ^^^^^^^^ there's no way that engine is running at it's best without the MAF sensor sending the signal to the computer. it might be running in the "limp home" mode is the sensor it gone, but no way is it running the best it could without it.
