Default Ball joints for lowered Stangs

Are there any ones besides Steeda? I saw some from Ford Racing somewhere but it said they were discontinued. I'm just looking for some cheaper than 120 bucks.

Why do you want the extended balljoints? Your stock ones are fine unless you blew them out in which case you can just get factory replacements. I have the Steeda ones sitting in my room right now. The reason that I got them was because I am making my Mustang into a road course car. They are for getting your steering geometry back.

Are you going to be auto-xing it or anything like that?

No, I just thought everything needed to be lined back up since it has been lowered.

You don't really need them unless you are going to be putting the car through its paces. lol

They will help to bring back the steering geometry. When you lower the car it pushes the LCA's down (sort of). With the ball joints it helps bring them back up to being even like they should sit. It will give you a small boost in handling characteristics, and some people have said that installing them gave a drop to their car's but I don't know how that works.

It would be adviseable to get the c/c plates and the bumpsteer kit though. Those are what are really going to help you get your alignment back if you went with a big drop.

Cool, I already have adjustable camber bolts but I havn't got the front end aligned yet. I have some popping going on when I brake so I am trying to get everything straitened out so I can get that alignment done. I think I may just need new bushings in the control arms. What exactly is the bump steer kit and where can I find it?

a few companies have them but go to steeda.com because they give you a full description of what it does.
