was tightening bolts on edelbrock aluminum valve covers, and it cracked on me. not very big, just around the bolt hole. Is it at all possible to fix this. I know the answer is no, but i'm throwing it out there. What kind of damage would driving the car with this do?

So the valve cover cracked around the bolt hole? If it did I would get some metal epoxy or JB weld an fix it that way. Also, if this is the case, all it will do is possibly leak oil...

It can be welded !!! See previous post as a possible and can you get a larger washer over the crack to strengthen and seal gasket ?? Radio control has a link to Aluminum welding!!
