Default RE: Changing U-Joints

are they talking about a ball joint / U joint press NO you dont need that

You do need a heavy bench vice . the U joint nhas 4 clips holding it in , the two you see threw the yoke use a neaddle nose plires to get them out . then thare is 2 C clips on the inside of the U joint behind the yoke .

after they are off get a small socket to fit on the yoke to push the u joint out and a big socket on the other side to let the u joint fall into that . put the sockets on the u joint and lock them up in the vice and press them out

you might need a pipe on the vice handle . and it will get bent up if they are oringal U joints from the factory cause the use this injected plastic **** and is tuff to get out
