No, 93's didnt "lose" power
They just used a different way to measure the power.
Useing accessories and such.
HUH ? hp is hp..........205<225.......period.

Straight from a Mustang History book: the 1993 was reduced to 205HP by SAE standards. Whether those were some sort of deflated measurements or something was done to reduce it - I'm sure it could be tweaked back up to 225+ pretty easily.

And this book also corrected me on my SINGLE HUMP/DOUBLE HUMP comment about the cross member. True dual exhaust was introduced on the 85GT.

no you guys, ford changed the way they dynod the engine, up until 92 they ran it with no accessories on the belt, in 93 they used accessories which is why the 20 hp loss is there. but really 89-92 only had 205 too bcuz no one runs it without the belt.
