Snow tires or junker?

Snow tires or junker?
Hello - I will have to drive my mustang to work a little this winter unfortunately, and am wondering if I should invest in snow tires or just get a junker? Any thoughts? And, any recommendations on snow tires? Just get 2 or 4? Hopefully don't cost too much. I have a 2002 Mustang GT Convertible.

Thanks in advance!

I wouldnt want to drive any nice car in the snow due to the rust issues that would only be a few years of driving in the snow on a daily basis away. But... we don't get snow much here where I live so I wouldnt really know what to suggest in the way of tires, and I wouldnt want to drive a beater either... glad I dont have to make that choice.

Snow tires - 4 if you get any. With really low traction on 2 tires you either don't accellerate, or you don't turn or stop. Think about it - your fronts do most of the braking, most of the turning (you know who you are if you're in the exception there).
If I were you I'd pick up an old truck.

Go get awinter beater, but make sure you get a good car mechanically. Nothing worse than fixing a beater in the dead of winter.I picked a little '87 nissan sentra. Saves me money on gas too w/ all the warming up! Save the stang.
