For those of us with screwed up wiring connectors (my idle solenoid connector went to "krispi kritters"), it is possible to remove the wires and put them in a new shell. The metal connectors lock in the shell with a plastic tab. All it takes is a jeweler's screwdriver to move the tab away from the connector and it slides out the back of the shell. No soldering required. I use connector shells from dead cars for this.</P><edited><editID>johnc</editID><editDate>37915.964224537</editDate></edited>

 

Ford also sells new hard shell connector not all of them but the ones that have the most problems.
