what would make a flex plate (new) break at the mountingbolts? it broke in a perfect circle right around where it connects to the crank! thats some crazy chit! $100 part and all weekend to change.

 

Was it used? Did you bolt it up right? Did you torque it properly?

 

it was new. i bolted her up then zipped it with the impact... maybe i got it to tight??? i don't know. i have never seen a flexplate break like that... like it was coke can aluminum.... just sheered a perfect circle. ill take it out this weekend and post pics.. at least it broke in my garage.

 

How big was the impact and what pressure was it running on?
