are insurance premiums that much higher for a 10 year old car? I know for my situation buying my stang at 23 there wasn't much difference between the v6, gt, and cobra, they were all pretty good deals. However, I can't say for an older car. I thought insurance also goes by the cars value, thinking if he destroys a 4 grand car compared to a 8 grand car.

no...insurance is more on the gt cuz its a v8. Insurance doesnt mind if its a v6, its just considered a two door sedan. But the v8 is considered a full blown sports car, and u pay dearly for it (i know)

I'm going to go to that dealer tomorrow to see if I can work the guy down some more on the price. I still need to sell my damn truck, but I have some serious lookers at the moment. The Stang has been for sale for a while, cause I guess no one's really into it around here. I checked it out about 2 months ago and it seemed pretty nice to me, no serious problems that I could tell.

And about the insurance thing, yeah the V8 is definitely going to rape you pretty hardcore insurance wise, but I called and got a quick quote on it if I just got bare minimum coverage since i'm paying cash for the car, it wouldn't be that bad. Hell, I checked the insurance on a 95 Z28 Convertible once, and it was cheaper than my truck is now![:'(][:'(]
