got my torque link in, but have a question
got my torque link in today with no problems. drove it around and it made the motor seem more responsive so that was nice. everyone makes it seem as though its not something to have on while driving around town....why? i drove it around a bit and it didnt seem bumpy or ruff or any of that so why is it bad to have on all the time?
also put on a shorter belt so no more smog pump. needed a 81" and its still looser (not loose but looser) then the stock belt was with the smog pump attached

RE: got my torque link in, but have a question
i drove it to school and back just tonight at found that when sitting at a light, the car has no vibration in it at all. it was so smooth and so was the ride. the car is more responsive to the throttle. dont know why everyone says that it will make a ruff ride on the street. i thought it was better on the street then it was before i put in the link

It doesn't make the ride rough it just transmits more engine vibration then normal. It should be a little more responsive as you have no engine torque over now its just a straight transfer of power to the trans and rear now.

ya birdman thats what ive heard, more engine vibration. the thing is, there is less engine vibration then without it. there is actually NO engine vibration at all

When I did my Firebird it had a fairly radical 400 and it would make the whole car shake from the cam at idle. I thought that was pretty cool to see the fenders and front clip shaking from the cam lol but I'm kinda sick that way. So your transfering the engine vibrations to the chassis, and its absorbing them. Thats a good thing!!!!
