Who said anything about emissions??
If his state doesn't have emissions, he need not worry.

 

You couldn't use your stock ones on an aftermarket pipe because the stock midpipe is 2 1/4" and most aftermarket stuff is 2 1/2".

I know of guys who got the right sized cats from the boneyard, split them down the seam and welded the empty shell AROUND their O/R pipe.

If you get MIL eliminators or shut off the rear 02 sensors with a tuner, the car won't know it doesn't have cats on it and some states and provinces do the emission testing through the ODBII port, so you will be cool.

Well I know in West Virginia.... we don't have emissions... but we have inspection stickers and at the inspection station they just look underneath the car to make sure that you have cats and mufflers... thas why you might want "fake" cats
