Default 95 Mustang Taillight Problem.

Hey everyone I searched all over the internet for an answer and found nothing so hopefully someone on here will have an answer for me...

I have a 95 mustang (347) and my brake lights, flashers, reverse lights and blinkers work but i have no running lights in the rear, it seems everything is getting power but my regular tail lights. (the tag light is blown so not sure if thats getting power or not)

I bought this car last week and there are no fuse covers so i really dont know what fuse goes to what. Maybe someone knows what fuse i need to check, is it under the hood or is it under the dash?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you take out the rear bulbs and check the filiments?

according to my owners manual ('03 gt) in the power distribution box (under the hood) #10 is for "parklamps" and is a 30amp maxi. on mine that's the 3rd one in from the fender. hope it helps.

i did not do that yet because it was 430am by the time we figured that out and since both of them were out i didnt know if maybe it was a fuse issue. I am going to pull my taillights off when i get out of work and see the condition of the bulbs.

i wouldnt think that it would be a fuse issue since the brake lights are dual filament bulbs. if one filament lights up, but the other doesnt, then it seems like a bulb. buy a replacement and plug it in and check. they cant be more than $3-4. and if its not that then it may be a fuse.

so i put new bulbs in there and still nothing, i have brake lights, reverse lights and turn signals, just no tail lights...does anyone know where the tag light fuse is on the 95 mustang, i am thinking the tag light and tail lights should run off the same fuse...if anyone has dealt with this problem in the past please give me some insight on this issue. Thanks.

just found a list of the fuses and what they go to, but the only thing is, it only says its for a 5.0. not sure if that applies to all 5.0's or just the fox's. and also not sure if yours is different because of the 347 swap (or is it a stroker kit?) but anyways, here is the link. it says that fuse 4 controls the tail lamps and the license plate lights, but also the instrument panel and headlights, so those would be out too.

hey thanks for all the help Ryan, still have not solved the issue but I am gonna work on it a little more this weekend and early next week. And the car is a 95 Lx with a carbed 347 stroker. I traded a bodydropped minitruck with no motor for it and slowly getting it drivable, i will keep everyone updated if I figure out what the problem is for future reference, and if anyone knows what it could be please help. Thanks.
