'97 - Windows up and down while opening/closing door?
I know for sure that on the newer Mustangs, the window will go down like an inch when you open the door and when you close the door, the window will go back up in the "channel."My '97 doesn't do that and after you shut the door, there is a gap on the back side of the window. Is there any way to correct that? I don't want water to be pouring into the car while it's raining one day. It also leaves room for someone to stick something into the car to break in... Any ideas?Brenton[/align]

If I'm inside the car and shut the door, look towards the back of the glass with the window all the way up, I can see a crack. When I roll it down an inch or so and back up, it goes back in the molding... I think it's only doing it on the d-side.

can you move the window back and forth? (front to back of car)
in other words does it feel loose?
i still think you should take off the door panel and take a look.

it sounds like the window is going up a little too far and not going into the weatherstripping like it should. when you stand on the outside and close it, try pushing at the top a little to make the window pop into the weatherstripping and it should close the gap. my passenger side does this sometimes, just never really looked into a true fix for it.

My passenger window did the same thing when I bought it, when they did the tint, they didnt put is back in its track correctly so it was going up too far. Open that bish up and take a look
