Well a color change will add $500 or more to a paint job, all the jambs need to be preped and painted, and to do it right the fenders and hood need to come off. I can't stress this enough, if you go black the body work needs to be perfect, any scratch, wave or dent will be magnified x10 with a black car. Paint and body work are very costly to have done right because of the time involved. You will pay $2500 and up for a decent paint job and be ready to be without the car for at least 3 weeks or more. In the restoration hobby we call it paint jail.
