Why are you comparing a V6 gas Stang to a HYBRID Escalade?
Gimme a link to an Evo that is 900HP & still gets 25mpg
Yea though about a 60mpg diesel car. I'm not aware of it, but yea I'd think that would sell ok in North America
Ford & others are working on internal combustion engine replacements. Stuff like fuel cells are currently very expensive to produce though. Most people are waiting for a revolution in battery technology that hasn't quite happened yet (at a resonable cost & is safe to use in a car)

And I have seen Doug's Stang story too, am very eager to hear the official results of the X-prize testing. An engine capable of 400hp AND +80mpg(??!?), all being done in a standard size/weight car, not one of those carbon fibre featherweight thingies? I hate to be a doubter and I'd LOVE to be proven wrong on that one. Good luck Doug
There were also widespread rumors of guys creating hydrogen generators that were insanely fast & efficient, they could generate hydrogen in real time fast enough to keep up with the demands of a car engine. Apparently you'd pour WATER into your gas tank & just drive off The icing on the cake is, all that comes out of the exhaust is water vapour. Gee wouldn't the Arabs (oil countries) all be turning in their sleep if that technology actually could exist. Again,, I gotta SEE it.
