clutch noise
the clutch in my 04 gt is making a whining sound i guess you could call it that only when i press in the clutch and it feels like when i am pulling out in first that it doesnt want to pullout.....it used to almost pull out itself now i have to give it alot of gas.....could this be a clutch going out or just something else that i should check out first......it has 73,000 miles and i dont know if its a stock clutch or what or if it has been changed i bought it used any help would be greatly appreciated.....and if it is the clutch what kind would be the best to replace it

sounds like the clutch is definately shot, centerforce makes good stuff. i put a stage 2 in mine and it has alot of bite. when and if you have it replaced, do everything. the clutch, pressure plate, through-out and pilot bearings. have the flywheel resurfaced as well for good measure. you can take that to a machine shop and usually costs $30. also replace the tranny fluid. if your not going to do this yourself you can have a good reputable shop do it for you. to have a shop do it it could cost around $750 with parts. but all depends on who you go to.

ok now when i press in the clutch it sounds like a belt is squeaking.....and when i let the clutch out it stops.....i hope its not the whole clutch cause i cant afford to drop that kind of money right now.....could it possibly be something to do with just the clutch cable or the quadrant???
