Default Remote Start?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting myself a remote start for christmas, but I've been told you can't get one in a manual car? Does anyone know the truth to this?

I read something awhile ago there was a kit where you had to have the e brake engaged to use the remote start. Thats so the car dont go rolling forward if you leave it in 1st(which I never do) when Its off.

It can be done, my installer did mine. However it defeats the purpose when u leave it in gear with the e.brake engaged. If the stem of the shifter is touching the switch it won't start, it kills it's self, but it will try to restart itself because the first attempt failed.

I remote started from a house window and saw the car take off across the street, by the time I got to the car it had hit a van across the street.

I now remote start as soon as I exit the car, no exceptions.
