Angry Grinding noise from tranny

I own a 99 cobra (if that helps) when pulling into work today I heard a racket under the hood ... it seems to make a whine when I push the clutch in and when the car is in neutral it seems to make a grinding noise yea its comming from the transmission. I am quite sure this is gonna be an expensive one to fix can someone gimme a clue on whats going on

How old is the clutch? It's probably the throwout bearing.. a $10 item but requries $$$ labor to swap it out. Might as well do a whole clutch job at the same time

I cant 100% guarantee it without hearing for myself, but does it go away when you put pressure on the clutch?

Its not that bad, just like doing a clutch...pull the exhaust/trans and its all right there
