Warranty Expiring

Well my Warranty Expires 12/29/08 (which I dont know how thats possible with my 2007 car?!?! can anyone explain??)

I got a notice to renew it or it else it will expire. Should I renew it?? I dont think it would be worth the cost, does anyone know what it costs to renew? If its over a grand then I would assume its definitely not worth it since I expect to have no problems costing over a grand or so within the next few years...
