RE: coolant temp??
I read about it in MM&FF in the 90s so I gave it a shot. Like I said it did not drop the temp 15 or 20 but did seam to help a little. If I remember its was only like 10$ or so a bottle so its hard to go wrong even if it dont do much.

My girlfriend's Mustang runs a bit hot both on the road and at idle. Nothing serious but I would like to see it a bit cooler.
I thought I may try this for only 10 bucks before doing anything more costly. Since it has rust inhibitors & pump lubricant, I figured it wouldn't hurt.

Water wetter won't drop the temperature on a scale that you would see on a temp gauge. It changes the surface tension of the coolant mix such that small bubbles from localized hot spots would not form as readily. This prevents areas in the cylinder head from being insulated with air bubbles beyond what the system pressure can do which would allow better cooling of the cylinder heads and an overall slight increase in the coolant system efficiency. The best set up is distilled water with water wetter added...that would make a noticible improvement in system cooling.

I haven't went out to the parts store to check the lable for directions on mixing.
So it's ok to just mix a bottle with distilled water & nothing else? I'm fine with that as long as it doesn't harm anything. It's hard to get into that mindset when you grow up thinking green antifreeze is what you need!
