i was just told by someone that a maf sensor could does this? anyone know?????

What does the pump sound like when you turn the key on? It should hum quick first and then just before it shuts off it should sound like the pump has encountered resistance. If it hums fast all the time and sounds as if there is no resistance you need a new pump.

 

it sounds like the hum and then somthing else like your talking about
