What tire size are people running that will fit the 15X3.5 Weld's? I have heard guys using 195/65/15's, but that size seems a little big. Summit suggested 155/80/15's BFG, but Tire Rack says that tire needs a minimum 4.5" rim. I don't want to have to resort to MT or Goodyear and pay premium price for a tire I'll only use twice a month at the track. Any suggestions on brand would also be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for looking. I assume they are 165/80/15's. I was just told Kumho makes a tire that sells for $26 at Tire Rack. Thats more like it.

 

it didnt say 80 on tire just what i typed above ..they look good ,,and the right height too.

 

firestone has them for like 35.00

 

i still dont get why people run skinneys, they improve 1/4 mile but they suck *** for cornering or street driving as well as sudden stops

You're making the assumption that I am pitching my street tires for skinnies. Farthest thing from the truth. The 275/50 Drag Radials and 165/80 skinnies are for the drag strip only. Bring it home and put the BFG Comp T/A's and stock 10 holes back on.
