87 mustang lx, 4banger, will not start..

it has been sitting for a while but one day it just wouldn't start. it had spark last time i checked. i am about to do so again. i just checked the fule pump and it works fine..

any ideas?

i'm gonna pick up some new battery wires and check back in.

what does it do when you turn the key

 

just cranks.. a bit roughly.. i haven't put the battery cables on yet though.. (gonna be back in a week)

BTW. i was working on another of my vehicles at the same time and made a mistake while posting... the Mustang is actually an '87.. sorry

 

If its cranking its not battery cables thats for sure.Check and make sure the spark is good and then make sure you have fuel pressure at the rails(there should be a little shrader valve like a tire valve you can push to see if therez fuel pressure) it either has no spark no fuel or no air and I'm sure its not the air

94's were they called LX's in 94 isnt on the body style right after the fox
