Default Ball Joints

Need to replace ball joints, Firestone want;s 500.00 to do the work can I do it myself? Any information on how to replace them would be appreciated.

Go to your local autozone, rent a balljoint press and buy some Steeda steel balljoints, do it in an afternoon yourself.

even if you dont want to do it yourself, 500 is pretty high for labor. it should be more around the lower 300s if not lower.

Wow. I got mine changed once for 50 dollars at the local garage. The ball joints don't have to be anything special. I paid 30 bucks for each and they lasted till I sold the car. I had to change one on my new one a few weeks ago. It is a simple yet aggravating job. There is no way in hell I would pay over 100 dollars to get that done though.
