Gasoline pump inspection
I've noticed when filling up (something I have to do often <grin>
that the pumps have a inspection sticker with some codes on it. For the quality of the gas I suppose.
Problem is, I don't know what the codes mean!
help!
thanks!

Nope not for the quality of gas but that the pumps are dispensing the correct amount of gasoline. I.E. that the displayed amount of gallons and the amount of gallons match. The same goes with the price matches the amount of gallons times the price per gallon. That is all it means.
A few years ago, a station in socal was caught cheating. It took a long time to catch them. Theirelectronic pumps were set to be "honest" when pumping exactly 1 or 5 gallons. This was the quantity that the state inspectors dispense when checking accuracy. Aint komputers wunnerful?
