Default bought a hood having problems

i bought a aftermarket corbra R/SVO hood well it it has a hole for the safety latch but not the main latch im sure im going to have to do my own cutting...anyone done this before and can guide me threw this?

I just bought a after market one too and mine came with a steel plate screwed on where it would latch but it seemed like it wasn't far down enough. I stuck 7/16 inch thick nuts between the hood and the steel bracket and I was able to get it to latch. I would've spent more time on it if I wasn't going with the pin down look.

i dont really wanna have to resort to hood pins i dont like the pin look but i see what i can do

o yea and this is a fox body latch im trying to get on to it weird... i think i will have to cut a hole in the hood to put the latch in
