Default Motor swap questions

I have an '84 F150 with a 302 and a C6 that I have pulled and would like to drop into an early fox body. I'm looking at the '79-'86 body styles and I'd like to know if I would have any issues putting that motor and tranny into that body style mustang. Also, how difficult would it be if I found a clean LX 4 or 6 cyl car to put it in if I can't find a good LX 5.0 or GT?

Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated.

Is that truck engine carb or fuel injected? Those truck FI motors had much taller intake plenums, right? Swap that out for a car plenum so it will fit under the stock hood.

Default 1965 engine/transmission replacement

I have a completely stock 1965 fastback that need an engine/transmission change. I wish to stay stock, just need which engine/trans combo will bolt in. The original is a 289 with auto trans, 2 barrel. Is there a site or list of engine/trans adaptability that I could go to?
Thanks

what about the C6? I've had a lot of people tell me that i can't just swap ford stuff around like you can with GM stuff. i know there is a differecne with the Clevelands and Windsors, but other then that, why not?
