Fuel line question
2000 V6
Back story:
In college, screwed around with another's chick (or atleast he thought she was his).
He sugar'ed my gas tank.
I dropped the tank, cleaned.
At some point I tore/cut one of the fuel lines, and replaced it with a fuel line from Advanced Auto.
Inspection story:
Took my mustang in for inspection, and the mechanic won't pass it due to fuel line. He says that the fuel line is for a carburetor engine, not fuel injected and the line isn't rated for the increased pressure with a fuel injection engine and wants to replace it for $70.
Any truth to it?
Thanks
Zach
