Default Driver Side Power Window

This morning i woke up and my driver side window worked, drove to work like usual, put the window up and went in. Came out got in to drive home and the window wont go down.. The switch clicks and i can hear the relay clicking. the passenger window still goes down. I thought it might of been a fuse until i remembered the fuse controlling that controls both windows. Should i jump to the conclusion that it is probably the motor? or is there something i can test/check to see otherwise?

Does the passenger window go down with the drivers switch? If so, then I would say it isn't the switch. 1st, try closing the door with the switch down to make sure you didn't just hit a rough spot in the regulator. If that doesn't work, then it may be the motor. You could take it to a body shop, it will take one minute to diagnose. Also, it can be a PITA repair to tackle yourself, so you may just want to have said body shop do the job.

There is a way to check if its the motor. Its not 100% but it worked for me. Take off door panel, then turn the key to the on position. Hold the window button down with your right hand and with your left fist hit in the general area of the motor. The window should go down; if it does, the motor is bad. (if it doesnt the motor may still be bad, but i understand when they first die this will work a couple of times.) I changed mine in about an hour without any book or instructions. I recall it costing about $120 for the motor

It can be a bad relay for the motor. Take the door pannel off and see if the motor is getting power with a test light.
