I HAVE AN 1988 GT CONVERTIBLE, THE CONV. TOP IS TAN. WHEN I PUT DOWN THE TOP I GET BLACK SMUDGES ON THE TOP WHEN I PUT IT UP. MY QUESTION IS WHAT DO YOU USE TO CLEAN THE ROOF WITHOUT HARMING IT? ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED.

 

i like to use a product called raggtop. it has a cleaner and then a protectant. not sure if you can find it locally though. if you dont want to spend the $$ on that, then just bet some simple green and dilute it about 1:4 and use that with a stiff brush. just make sure not to let any of it dry on your paint.
