Throttlebody help!
I installed a BBK Throttle body on my 2006 Mustang GT around 6 monthes ago or so. This past week I had my car go into Limp mode and Ford diagnosed it as the throttlebody motor. They are telling me it was the aftermarket throttle body that caused this and I had to buy a whole new throttlebody to fix the car as they could not get a new throttle body motor seperate from the whole assembly. Does anyone have any idea as to why this may have happened as I would really like to have the BBK as it made a very noticible difference in the sound and performance of the car but I cannot afford the $550 for the new throttle body if this keeps happening. Any help or advise would be great. Thanks in advance!!
Did you adjust the voltage on the TB motor? BBK shows you how to do it, if you have to many volts to the TB motor it could harm it. Should be about 1.6 volts, after I installed mine it was at 3.4 volts.
Well that's my two cents worth.
