i dont know how similair cars are with airbags but my honda just failed inspection for that light and the guy said there are sensors and springs inside ur steering wheel as well as some module thing id get it checked out, ur issue could be really cheap or really exspensive.

well it doesn't do anything except the light so i 'm just going to ignore it. I don't feel like have to tear my steering wheel apart right now.

Was your car recently serviced at a proffesional shop? Cases have been known of them stealing air bags and selling them, they are worth big bucks.

i had this issue in my 95 splash ranger.
count how many times it blinks and that will tell you which sensor needs replaced.

it's either missing the airbag (someone stole it) or it could blow up in your face if the sensor is malfunctioning and shorts on you.
