the lever moves up and down fine but the e brake doesnt engage and it wont move foreward to bolt back into the original holes. Is it possible that this problem is in the handle? in the haynes manual it says that you have to insert a drill bit or something into a hole to prevent it moving but i cant find it.

ok, i got it fixed. the problem was the e brake lever had wound up and taken all the slack. it workes good now but the calipers rub a bit when the brake is off. Is that normal when the ebrake is serviced. Or how can i fix that. thanks

should be some sort of bolt/faster that you can turn to add or remove slack on the end of one of the lines
