Default 2000 Mustang engine removal/swap

I recently blew up the motor in my 2000 4.6 mustang gt. I am currently looking for a new motor but while I look I want to remove my old motor. Just looking where to start/how to go about removing the motor. If there are any online guides? Or any tips that people may have. I am new to this but my dad has mechanical experience, he will be helping me but i was just trying to get some tips on this process. My dad has a car lift his shed(which is basically a car shop) Any ideas would be great.

I would wait until I had another motor and was ready to start swapping. Parts and feasteners have a tendency to get lost, and the memory sometimes fades where things go, the longer it is disassembled.

I totally agree. Also because, depending on how long it has to sit due to financial implications, many cars get sold just for that reason. Those are the ones I end up buying
