Default 98 Mustang wont start-think it is alarm malfunction

I am having some trouble getting my 98 mustang started. Last night I locked the car with the button on the driver's side door. This morning I unlocked it with the remote. when I turn the key to on all the electronics work fine, including the convertible top. However, when I turn the key to start the engine there is nothing. Since there is no sound at all, I think the alarm has locked out the starter. If so, does anyone know how to reset the alarm? I cannot find any reset switch or anything else under the dash. Or does this sound like some other sort of problem? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Does your car have the theft light in the dash, and if so does it blink real fast with the key in the on postition?

unplug ur battery for about 15-30 mins it should reset everything, but if its alarm problem maybe your key got messed up and the ignition isnt seeing the right key, or maybe its your ignition

Thanks anyway. I had a tow truck guy look at it and we got it running by tapping the starter. Guess I need a new one. Thanks for your suggestions
