So today driving back from class I'm on the highway behind an SUV and of course a big rock gets kicked up and put a huge crack in my windshield, it's around 1' long...
Tomorrow I'm going to the insurance (I've got full coverage) and they will replace it. However, I've only had one cracked window before and it was on an old Mazda B2200 pickup truck, just a normal window... But on the Mustang I always loved this windshield because of how the rain rolled off it so nicely (dunno if it does it for other people or not..?) I also noticed how our (S197) windows have the pony behind the rear view mirror on the windshield.
When I get a replacement will I get an identical windshield with the pony and everything be put in or will it just be some off brand one?
Just curious on how they do this, because I want the same one put in that I have in there now...

 

you should get the the same window back. just tell them to go threw ford. tell them you want the factory replacement. i would expect a person should get the same window back...
