Default 1995 5.0 RMP Holding back

If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. If I get on my 1995 5.0 mustang it pulls but once it hits about 3,000 rpms or more it feels and sounds like the engine is trying to go but the car is holding back. A little information to help is that this car has 78k, garage kept, drivin about 1,000 miles a year. It has a bbk intake, new cam, msg ignition, x-pipe with flowmasters, 373 gears, ford headers, new plugs and wires, recent oil change and fuel filter change (2 days ago). I was also told it has a computer chip but I never verified that. Thanks for any help
