1995 V6 Mustang - Plan to replace struts, replace springs also?
Question regarding spring replacement on 1995 6-cyl Mustang.
1. The struts are due for replacement, recommendations on also replacing the front springs? Car will continue to bob up and down after a bump in road, excessive reaction to going over manhole covers, car will bang down after going over a high speed bump, if not inched over.
2. Ever since new the rear suspension will bottom out HARD. Persons in the back seat have been known to be thrown up against the roof after crossing rail road tracks. Seems to be no shock absorption in rear suspension.
Ford dealer said this was the springs? Problem has not changed over the years, shocks are original.
Any advice on changing the front and/or rear springs when the struts and shocks are replaced?

At the very least KYB AGX shocks and struts, they're what I've got and to be honest even they ride a little on the hard side. That's with my Eibach Pro-kit springs in place. Remember that if you drop more than 1.5" in the front you'll need new CC plates to properly align your wheels.

It's not your springs, it's your shocks/struts.... but if you want to do all at once, go for it. Eibach Pro Kit seems to be the choice of a lot of the V6 crowd who just want a basic drop. Something to consider is using shocks/struts made for the fox body Mustang (79-93). They are physically shorter, and will work better with many of the aftermarket lowering springs.
