K&N says that oiled cotton element filters are fine. Manufacturers say that oiled cotton element filters for MAF are bad....but then turn around and offer to sell you oiled cotton filter elements....riiiiiigggggghhhhhhtttttt. They wouldn't sell them if they always contaminated MAF filaments...the car would run so poorly as to be undrivable.

What was said above is true, it's over oiling the filters that leads to problems....oil gets pulled off and contaminates the MAF filament. Just follow the oiling instructions properly.

Smile Car Storage for winter

Should I take the battery out for storage. I have no place to plug in trickle charger.

if you cant plug a charger onto it where the car is now, then yes remove the battery and trickle charge it in your garage or somewheres.
