Angry P0191 Fuel Pressure Problem

I've got a 2006 Mustang Coupe and the engine light came on in the past and just went away. Last week the engine light came on again so i took it to Advance Auto Parts to use their code reader and founf a code P0191 that stated that there's a fuel rail pressure problem. It came on after driving it on along distant drive and the car would act like it wasn't getting gas or something by once and a while missing, it didn't seem to matter what speed i was driving it owuld do it once and a while. I put in on the reader and pulled the code P0191, I cleared it and ran some fuel injector cleaner w/heet for moisture/water, then put some fresh gas in it. It stopped doing this for the drive home (approx 10miles0. My goirlfreind drove it the next day she said it started doing it again but no engine light but then the next day the car no longer had had the hesitation but the engine light came on. Anhone have any suggestions of what the problem may be and what to do to fix the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

While I don't advise just throwing parts at a problem without diagnosing it first, I don't think changing the fuel filter is a bad idea. Especially if you have alot of miles and/or use low quality gas. At a minimum, its cheap and wouldn't hurt.

With that said… If changing the fuel filter doesn't solve the problem, run back to Advanced Auto Parts and rent a fuel pressure gauge, plug it in the fitting on the fuel rail and do a fuel pressure test. There are a ton of video's on YouTube about how to do a fuel pressure test. The procedure is pretty much universal, so it doesn't matter if the vehicle in the video is a Mustang or not. Once you've done that, post back with the results and we can help narrow down the problem.

Good luck...
