1988 5.0 pcm

Post 1988 5.0 pcm

shorted out my coolant tempature sensor. now the pcm is in an open loop mode could i have burned out my pcm can it be re-set

disconnected battery, changed sensor, vehicle loading up won't idle until it reaches temp,then won't run at rpm but will idle.

Are you sure it is the temp sensor? You could be having other issues like map sensor maybe or bad vac line to it.

I did find vac lines that were being sucked closed off the bap sensor to the manifold . changed them checked sensors, replaced eec sensor. traced all the other vac lines .
