Default Do I need to get a new tune with dual exhaust

I got duals today and I'm wondering if I need to get a new tune since I've got them? The car feels like it lost a bit of torqueto me but idk if it's just in my head. Also the new driver side sounds kind of "ricer"-y right now, I didn't expect a V8 growl but I dont want it to sounds like a dang four banger with a fart can... Could it be that the muffler isn't broken in yet or something?

The V6 isn't going to sound great, expect a V6 sound. There are only a couple of V6's that sound good at WOT.
You shouldn't need a tune after just exhaust. If you did headers it might help a bit.

Tone will come from the style of muffler you put on. One side shouldn't sound different than the other. And chances are you lost low end tq but gained in the mid and peak hp range. It's a scarifice you make on the SOHC V6.

No you don't need a tune.

And a H pipe set-up with GT takeoffs is one of the deepest set-ups out there for the 4.0 (I have the same thing and loooove it). I've heard a couple aftermarket set-ups and they all sound pretty "rice-y" to me. Do you still have the cats? Maybe a leak somewhere? And you could always pick up another set of GT takeoffs since they're cheap and swap em out. If it sounds the same then just re-sell em

Well just an update I got all new tunes (91s/91/p/93r) just so I could have all the same octanes and I wanted to try the 93 and see how much of a difference there is from 91... I still haven't got to try it yet because my gas tank is still half full lol.
And you were right alec, there was many leaks, at every single weld there were leaks! Such a cheap job they did. I would never ever recommend anyone to go to Automax. I took it somewhere else and had it re-welded and now the difference is still noticeable to me on the low end but barely. It definitely has a nice sounding growl for a v6! Especially at idle it sounds like a v8 lol
