I personally don't like headers Pypes makes. But they do make quality products, their midpipes and axleback systems are great for upgrading exhaust. Jbane, I think you should just change your attitude, call the rep from Pypes and clarify it all. We appreciate you warning us of a possible problem with products many people on this forum have purchased. But coming on here just to bash at the company and the rep is uncalled for. You're hearing this from a 17 year old. We've all had faulty car parts.

1. You get what you pay for!
2. I love my product from Pypes.
3. I honestly have a hard time believing that a Vender on a Mustang forum has the name, "9t8z28".
4. ^that and a VERY small amount of posts (from both of you mind you).

Sounds to me like someones just trying to ruin the reputation of a good company.

Thank you Pypes!

Maybe your issue is resolved... or maybe not. I'd like to see a pic of the H or X pipe hanger bracket on your car to make sure you have it installed. I've seen too many aftermarket exhausts put on without using the H pipe hangers.... this puts a lot of stress on the header flange because basically the whole front half of the exhaust is being supported by the headers.... and from what I've seen in the photo you posted, it looks suspiciously like this may be the reason for your crack.

So if you don't have the H pipe bracket installed and this caused the crack, you not only owe the Pypes rep an apology... but you are most definitely going to get another crack in the same place if you had the Pypes header welded locally or installed a different brand.

I await a pic of your proprly installed H pipe hangers... if you don't produce one, I'm going to assume you don't have it. Even if you DO have all the proper exhaust supports installed, my second guess for the crack is garbage engine mounts... they could be letting the engine buck back on forth putting a twisting force on the header flanges under heavy acceleration.

I'm up north this week, with my truck not my car. I will post some pics next tuesday or wednesday. And Bakerjd.."1. You get what you pay for!" I wish this was true. could have saved me hours and hours of laying on my back. So any way i will post some pics of my hangers and like i said it cost 30.00 to get it fixed, it's back on for now untill i save up for a new system.

Nope, just the Pypes Pype Bomb axle-back setup. I will be adding Kook's or American Racing LTs and O/R x-pipe eventually.

wow. You ordered a cost effective exhaust system where you know that you were not getting the absolute best quality of one of the big names and are mad that they want you to pay for shipping? When you save money by ordering parts you do it at your own risk of having to send it back if it goes bad. You sent them pics and then expect them to just mail out a new header? He has no idea if that was your car or some random image off the net so to demand a new product off of pics is just childish. If this is the way you expect the mail-order world to go I highly suggest you start buying your stuff locally. Yes it will cost more but if it goes bad you will not need to pay for shipping. You can't have you cake an eat it too.

pypes do not even worry about the attempt at libel he did as he has come off like an agry 16 yr old and it is obvious you did everything you could to take care of him. Some people you can't make happy.
