I love those angry 16 year old comments. I'm 17 and any problems I've had with any company they've told me that I handle it better than most adults. I payed for a new bumprr and got mad that it wasnt here and me and the owner emailed and his guys called and he said I handled it better than adults and asked for specific pics of my car.stereotype that.

He has no idea if that was your car or some random image off the net so to demand a new product off of pics is just childish. If this is the way you expect the mail-order world to go I highly suggest you start buying your stuff locally. Yes it will cost more but if it goes bad you will not need to pay for shipping. You can't have you cake an eat it too.

pypes do not even worry about the attempt at libel he did as he has come off like an agry 16 yr old and it is obvious you did everything you could to take care of him. Some people you can't make happy.
There is a difference between cost effective and junk. Wanting a company to take care of their products no matter how much it cost is not unreasonable.
I think it is reasonable for the buyer to pay for shipping when shipping a bad part back but to be asked to pay for shipping when returning that product to a custom is NOT. Not to mention other companies will pay for shipping both ways for defective/bad parts. So I guess you can have you cake and eat it too, just not with companies that make junk and have bad customer service.

^At least 90% of aftermarket companies will require you to pay for shipping to return a defective product. Once they inspect it fully and find it to be defective they will refund you the money (which i'm sure is the case with Pypes). That's Business 101. Buy local if you don't want to risk having to send something back at your own cost.

Not sure if you meant to quote me...if so that is basically what I said. I know of a few vendors on here that will just ship you out a replacement part along with a return slip. And I also know Pypes will not just issue you a refund even if the part is defective/bad, they will add a restocking fee on top of that!

Not all companies operate on your "business 101" policy....

And buying local doesn't save you the time unless the product is made local.
Most companies that sell Pypes products will tell you that you need to deal with them directly.

your right there is a difference between cost effective and junk. A junk product would not even answer the phone/emails and would tell ya tough crap. I am willing to bet that if you had got a better system by magnaflow, flowmaster or one of the others shipping might be included because they have made enough money on it to afford to do so. No these are not the cheapest/crappiest sets out there but it sounds like you expect mangaflow service at a pypes price and it just can't happen. again the pics you gave did not prove that it was your header and not just a pic from a friends car or random online pic. To show that and say that it justifies that they just take your word for it and ship it out is crazy. Almost anyplace you go to will want to inspect the product themselfs to see what has happened and what might have happened before they will replace it with a new one. They gave you the two options I would expect after spending what you did on it and I can't see them bending over backwards the way you are demanding.

You might have handled other situations more like an adult in the past but you have failed to do so here. Chalk this up to exp and HOW THE WORLD WORKS and as we have said above STOP ORDERING YOUR PARTS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO WORRY ABOUT SHIPPING. No buying it local does not gurantee that if/when it goes bad that they will have the part waitng to replace it, it gurantees that you will not have to pay for shipping which is what this 17 yr old tantrum is about.

Seriously suck it up, grow a set and try to get your dignaty back. 10 yrs from now you will laugh at the way you are acting the way the rest of us are laughing at you right now.

Like I said in my other post, I'm willing to bet you don't have the H / X pipe hanger installed and the added weight put stress on the header flange and cracked it.

ah c'mon now you only gave him 3-4 extra days to snap some pics....

I feel sorry for the pypes dudes having to deal with all this, I can only imagine how "adult" he acted prior to this tantrum and have his product insulted by someone that just doesn't know better.

My 2010 GT doesn't have these hangers the other years have. That was one of the problems I had with the pypes off-road H-pipe. The hangers were not letting it mount up right.

Guess if I get some LT I need to look for these hangers then.

Yea, didn't mean to quote you but that's not my policy, it's usually the way one should handle business. Pypes has been nothing but good to me and most people i've talked to that have purchased their product. And as far as the local thing goes, yea that's probably true but with reputable companies such as Summit and AM, if they are local, they will usually handle the claims themselves and replace the part (at least Summit will, i'm sure AM would)
