could i use an autometer, or any other brand water temp gauge and sending unit as a transmission temp gauge? i have an autometer water temp gauge with sending unit new in box that i have never really felt the need to use but now i really need a transmission temp gauge and would really like to not spend 50 or so dollars on a new gauge and sending unit if possible. its mechanical if that makes any difference
