Default Want a better, smoother ride

I have a 96 Mustang GT and am tired of jumping around all over the place. I would like to make the ride much smoother and more enjoyable. I am not interested in lowering the car so springs wouldnt be necessary? I could just replace the shocks and i would have a nicer ride? Please respond, going over train tracks is unbearable lol.
