Im going to be changing the oil on my 89 lx 5.0 here real soon, the previous owner said not to run synthetic fer the first couple of changes because it only has about 5000 km on a rebuilt engine, why wud this be? Also he said to use Quaker State 5w-30, is this the right weight and is Quaker State half decent oil? It has a Fram oil filter on it right now but i was thinkin of replacing it with a K&N filter. Do they little screens worth it? If i can use synthetic im going to be using Royal Purple I believe. There is a drain plug in the front and back of oil pan right? Also i jus put hte oil in on the right side valve cover, where the filler neck is and has a cap saying oil on it? i sound pretty noob in this but i jus want to do it right for the first time im doing it.
